Abstract
PURPOSE:To extend a lifetime and to increase a transmissivity of light, by making a substrate of a specific material a partial filter which controls a transmission of a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A substrate is made of a non-added single crystalline GaAs which is produced using a PBN crucible by a liquid encapsulation Czochralski method. And, the substrate is used as a partial filter which controls a transmission of laser beam. Because impurities not being contained therein, the substrate does not absorb infrared radiation so that it is not heated. Therefore, the lifetime of the substrate is extended, and the transparency thereof is high for the light with wavelength of 0.9-1.7mum, thereby the transmissivity of light being increased.
