Abstract

PURPOSE:To connect an optical disk sub-system to the OS of an MT subordinatively by adding an UP/DOWN instruction logic to a data memory and an address control line. CONSTITUTION:Data read out from a driving device 7 is usually stored in the data memory 11 in orderly rows like from LSB to MSB. When the data is transferred to a host 15 as an RDFWD (READ BACKWARD), it is performed in the order from LSB to MSB by the UP instruction of the UP/DOWN instruction line 14 of an address counter 12. Besides, when the data is transferred as an RDBKW, the data can be sent in the contrary order like from MSB to LSB by giving a DOWN instruction to the UP/DOWN instruction line. Thus, the RDBKW comes operable, and the optical disk sub-system comes capable of being connected to the existing OS subordinatively.
