Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the removal of a water droplet at an electrode gap by drying, by making a hot air flow into a cell for measuring a dielectric constant when a liquid sample containing a trace moisture develops a water droplet, which adheres to an electrode gap causing a dielectric constant meter to indicate continuity. CONSTITUTION:As a pump 14 is driven, a liquid sample 4 flows into an electrode gap of a dielectric constant measuring cell passing through a liquid sample tube 7, a lower valve 6 and a lower tube 5 to measure a dielectric constant with a dielectric constant meter 16. A set value of the dielectric constant member 16 is set for a abnormality value, namely, a value of a dielectric constant in the conduction between the electrodes due to the adhesion to a water droplet before the start of a measurement and when a measured value reaches the set value with the development of a water drop in the electrode gap, a hot air 15 is sent into an air hot tube 13. In this manner, the hot air 15 passes the bottom of the electrode gap from an upper tube 10 and the top thereof forcing-in a liquid surface of the liquid sample and further flows out to a beaker 9 through the lower tube 5 and a discharge tube 8. Thus, the water droplet adhering to the electrode gap of the dielectric constant measuring cell is dried and evaporated gradually.
