Abstract
PURPOSE:To continuously recover a Ga-component as high-purity liquid Ga by subjecting a Ga-contg. material to high-temp. cracking in a vacuum vessel, discharging the formed liquid Ga from the vessel, introducing gaseous As and P into separate vessels and recovering the same. CONSTITUTION:The liquid Ga is charged into the vacuum cracking vessel a to form the Ga liquid column. The Ga-contg. material which is a raw material is then charged into the vessel and the raw material is heated to a high temp. in a heating furnace 13 by which the raw material is thermally cracked in a vacuum. The As and P sublimate to gases which diffuse through a transport pipe (c) into the vacuum As and P recovering vessel (b). The formed Ga turns to liquid Ga which is discharged through a discharge pipe 10 into a Ga storage vessel 11. The gaseous As and P diffused into the recovering vessel (b) deposit on the cooled wall surface of an As and P deposition chamber 16. The fresh Ga-contg. material is supplied when the amt. of the Ga-contg. material in the vessel (a) decreases.
