Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain an electrostatic attraction display device which prevents the leakage of the rays from an illumination light source to the outside by printing both end regions of.a transparent conductive film constituting an inner stationary electrode to be brought into contact with an electrode taking-out plate with conductors. CONSTITUTION: The transparent conductive film 13 constituting the inner stationary electrode 11 is printed with the conductors 33, for example, materials formed by properly mixing silver and carbon, in both end regions to be brought into contact with the electrode taking-out plate 17. Further preferably, the conductors 33' are applied at both side edges of the transparent conductive film 13 as well. The conductors 33 with which both end regions of the transparent conductive film 13 are printed are electrically connected to each other, by which the conductors are eventually held at the same potential. Then, the transparent conductive film 13 constituting the inner stationary electrode 11 is surely brought into contact with the electrode taking-out plate 17. As a result, a moving electrode is sufficiently electrostatically attracted to the inner stationary electrode 11 or the outer stationary electrode and, therefore, on-display and off-display are surely executed without impairing the display grade.
