PURPOSE:To improve the desensitization and plate wear of a titled master plate by using a binder resin having a functional group which can form a sulfo group by decomposition. CONSTITUTION:This master plate is constituted by providing a photosensitive layer contg. photoconductive zinc oxide and the binder resin on a conductive base. At least one kind of said resin contains the functional group (A) which forms the sulfo group by decomposition. The group expressed by, for example, the formula I or II is usable for the functional group A. In the formulas, R1 denotes the group expressed by the formula III or IV; R2 denotes a (substd.) aliphat. group of 1-18C; R3, R4 denote H, etc.; Y denotes alkyl, etc.; n denotes 0-2; Z denotes a residual org. group. The resin having the functional group A is formable by the homopolymn. or multielement copolymn. of the monomers having the group expressed by the formula I or II.
