A transparent electrode 14 is further disposed thereon and if necessary, a transparent protective film 15 is provided thereon to complete the information recording medium 10. A switch 16 is selected to connect the upper electrode 14 to a power supply 18 so as to attain a (+) potential reverse from erasing and the voltage V(+) for writing is previously impressed while the entire part of the recording medium 10 is at a temp.
