Abstract
PURPOSE:To suppress vibration by installing counterweights and balancer weights at least at two positions on the crankshaft and the balancer shaft of a V-type 6-cylinder engine having a bank nipping angle of 120 deg. so that a coupled force vectors having a specific value are generated. CONSTITUTION:In a V-type 6-cylinder engine which has the cylinder arrangement having a nipping angle of 120 deg. and in which each bank consists of three cylinders in series which are ignited in equal intervals, the crank throw is set so that the ignition order is set in #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6. The counter weights 3a and 3b are installed onto a crankshaft 1 so that the coupled force vectors in the reverse direction to the direction of revolution among the primary inertia coupled forces applied onto the crankshaft 1 are generated. Further, a balancer shaft 5 which is revolved in the reverse direction at the equal revolution speed to that of the crankshaft 1 is interlocked with the crankshaft 1 through a transmission system 4, and balance weights 6a and 6b are installed onto the balancer shaft 5 so that the coupled force vectors in the opposite direction to the reverse revolution direction among the above-described primary inertia coupled forces are generated.
