Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in printability and printing effect, by mixing a resin obtained by reacting a half-ester of a specified hydroxylated compound with a carboxylic acid anhydride with an epoxy resin or the like with a monomer containing a radical-polymerizable double bond and, optionally, a polymerization initiator. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy compound such as bisphenol A diglycidyl ether is reacted with a radical-polymerizable double bond-free monobasic carboxylic acid such as acetic acid or (hydrogenated) rosin at 100-200 deg.C in an inert gas stream to obtain a product (epoxy rester) (a) having at least 0.1 hydroxyl group per molecule. 1mol. of component (a) is half-esterified with 0.1-4mol. of a carboxylic acid anhydride (b) (e.g., succinic anhydride) at 100-200 deg.C, and the obtained product is reacted with an epoxy compound (c) and, optionally, a monobasic carboxylic acid (d) to obtain a resin (A). Component A is mixed with a monomer (B) containing a radical-polymerizable double bond [e.g., methyl (meth)acrylate] and a radical-polymerization initiator (C).
