Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit a thermal irreversible change at a temp. above the temp.of liq. helium and to improve the stability of a record by converting portphine as a photoreactive guest into cross-linked porphine bonding to a host polymer at two or more points. CONSTITUTION:A porphine deriv. having two or more olefinic double bonds represented by formula I is copolymerized with a compd. having an olefinic double bond. In formula I, at least two of R1-R4 has an olefinic double bond. Methacrylic ester or styrene giving a polymer having superior transparency and formability is preferably used as the compd. having an olefinic double bond. The concn. of porphine as a cross-linked structure in a formed copolymer is controlled by regulating the molar ratio between the monomers, that is, the molar ratio between the porphine deriv. and the compd. having an olefinic double bond preferably to 1:100-1:1,000,000. Thus, the thermal stability of the copolymer is improved and the hole recovery rate after heating is increased.
