Abstract

PURPOSE:To step up the maximum output voltage, by deciding a proper switching mode and a holding time in accordance with a given phase command value and a voltage command value and by holding the output state of each mode with a timer means. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase PWM signal generation circuit to control the switching of each switching element for an inverter device is equipped with a phase command value classification means 14, a switching mode deciding means 15, a holding time calculating means 16 and a timer means 19. A switching mode corresponding to two kinds of potential space vector in compliance with the phase command value and another switching mode corresponding to zero vector with the switching mode deciding means 15 are decided. The angle of advance and the holding time of each mode are calculated with the holding time calculating means 16. With the timer means 19 the output state of modes is held one after another. The potential space vector is thereby outputted in accordance with the command values.
