Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the waste of power consumption by comparing a drive current subjected to negative feedback with a reference signal current and controlling the driving current generated from a transistor(TR) circuit is response to the difference signal, thereby improving the stability of the driving current against the temperature change. CONSTITUTION:A feedback circuit 100 for a driving current and a comparator 200 are provided. Then part of the driving current supplied from the TR circuit for drive current generation to the light emitting element is fed back negatively by the feedback circuit 100 and the driving current subjected to negative feedback is compared with the reference signal current by the compartor 200 to control the driving current generated from the TR circuit in response to the difference signal. Thus, even when the driving current generated from the TR circuit attended with a temperature change is varied, a stable driving current subjected to temperature compensation at all times is supplied to the light emitting element and since no large current flows to the circuit when the light emitting diode is not driven, waste of power consumption is reduced.
