Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a high strength product having only a little surface porosity ratio in good yield by spreading a low heat conductive and heat resistant sheet specifying porosity ratio and thickness on bottom part of a die at the time of hot-forging a sintered compact in the forging die after solid-compacting and sintering the powder. CONSTITUTION:At the time of hot-forging the sintered compact by charging into the forging die after solid-compacting and sintering the powder, the low heat conductive and heat resistant sheet (graphite sheet, etc.,) having >=30%, porosity ratio and>=0.3mm thickness is spread beforehand on the bottom part of the forging die. By this method, as the heated sintered compact preform is not brought into direct contact with the bottom part of the die, it is not rapidly cooled, the porous layer is sufficiently forged and made dense, and the development of the surface porous layer is prevented.
