Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve detecting accuracy and to improve response, by integrating the output voltage of a detection circuit, which detects the level of a signal that is generated periodically, sampling and holding the output voltage at a fixed timing based on a signal generation period, and resetting an integration circuit immediately after the holding. CONSTITUTION:When a periodic video signal Ei is inputted into a level detection circuit 7, the video signal Ei is detected with a diode 4. A capacitor 6 is charged with the detected voltage. Even if the video signal has reached a peak level and then the signal is decreased, the charged voltage corresponding to the peak level of the input signal is maintained in the capacitor 6 owing to the blocking of the discharge of the capacitor 6 with the diode 4. Said charged voltage is charged into a capacitor 14 and maintained by way of a FET 11. A reset pulse is imparted to a reset circuit 9 at a starting timing Tr of horizontal blanking. A FET 15 is turned ON through a diode 17. The maintained signal charge is discharged and reset. The charge in the capacitor 6 becomes 0V. Then the next charging is performed.
