Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the demist function by detecting a difference in absolute humidity of air between upstream and downstream of an evaporator, determining that the evaporator has a dehumidifying capability when the difference is large, and continuously engaging a clutch for a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:A cooler system 12 includes a compressor 12b to be driven by an engine 18 through an electromagnetic clutch 20, a condenser 12c for cooling a refrigerant, an expansion valve 12d for expanding the refrigerant and reducing a temperature, and an evaporator 12a for effecting heat exchange between the refrigerant and air and cooling and dehumidifying the air in an air duct casing 2. A control unit 28 controls an electromagnetic clutch driving circuit 30 according to outputs from absolute humidity detecting means 22 and 24 provided upstream and downstream of the evaporator 12a in the air duct casing 2, respectively, and an output from clutch disengaging signal outputting means 26. When the absolute humidity on the upstream side is higher, the electromagnetic clutch 20 is continued to be engaged for a predetermined time.
