Abstract
PURPOSE:To constrain the generation of an elephant foot and to prevent the crack, chip and yield reduction of a formed body by arranging the interposed ring of an elastic material between the outer peripheral face of the inner end edge part of a small diameter part and the inner peripheral face of a rubber die. CONSTITUTION:The interposing ring 21 consisting of an elastic material is interposed between the outer peripheral face of the inner end edge part of the small diameter part 8 of a metal cover body 5 and the inner peripheral face of a rubber mold 3. At pressure forming time, the interposing ring 21 is subjected to elastic deforming and the engaging part of the inner end edge part of the small diameter part 8 in the rubber mold 3 is also deformed in some amt. in the diameter direction. Accordingly, the abrupt change of the deformation amt. in the diameter direction between the engaging part of the inner end edge part of the small diameter part 8 in the rubber mold 3 and non-engaging part adjoining thereto can be prevented. Consequently, the part where the diameter becomes larger as facing to the end face, so-called an elephant foot generation on the end part of the forming body can be constrained.
