Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the workability of the titled alloy, to reduce the hysteresis and to provide it with shape-memory characteristics at a high temp. by specifying the contents of Ti, Cu and V in a Ti-Ni-Cu-based alloy. CONSTITUTION:The shape-memory alloy is formed with the compsn. consisting of, by atom, 50-52% Ti, 5-20% Cu, 0.1-3.0% V and the balance Ni. Since said Ti-Ni-Cu memory alloy has excellent workability, reduced hysteresis and furthermore an operating function at a high temp. (>=50 deg.C), it is suitable to a shape-memory spring.
