CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is constituted of an elastic plate 11, a sheet of paper 12 and a rectangular body 13. A sheet of thin paper 12 is put on the surface of the elastic plate 11 and the flat surface of the rectangular body 13 is pressed against the paper from the upper side of the paper 12. When a traveling wave, composed of transversal wave and longitudinal wave, is propagated through the elastic plate 11 into a direction A, the paper 12 moves to a direction B. According to this method, a paper feeding mechanism for a printer, a facsimile or the like may be made extremely thin.
