The piezoelectric element 9 of a ceramics-board ring is divided into about 10 sections so that the adjacent sections are polarized reversely to each other. The vibration applied to the elastic body 8 due to ultrasonic wave generated in the piezoelectric element 9 is transmitted to the surface of the elastic body 8 as a surface wave, whereby the printing paper 3 as a moving body is traveled in a direction (c) reversely to the surface wave (b) due to a frictional force with the elastic body 8. The printing paper 3 pressed on the surface of the platen is vibrated in the direction (c) towards a paper guide part 7 on the side part of the platen.
