Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of lines, etc. to the recording paper when the tension is applied to the recording paper before the fixing by the difference between the speed of revolution of a press-contact roller and the paper feed speed, by securing the oscillation type speed of revolution for the press-contact roller to produce the oscillation type tension. CONSTITUTION:Both a frictional force shaft 15 and a rubber belt 13 are pressed to a friction plate 12 with a spring 16, and accordingly the tension right-angled to the travelling direction of the recording paper 4 is applied to the paper 4 fed from the side of a drive shaft 14 until the paper 4 is carried out from the side of the shaft 15 and in accordance with the travelling of the paper 4. After the paper 4 is bited into the press-contact roller, the speed of revolution of a fixing device 10 is increased compared with the speed of the belt 13. Thus the tension is caused in the travelling direction of the paper 4 and between a pressure fixing guide pin 17 and the belt 13. As a result, the tension that is caused by the belt 13 and the plate 12 and is right-angled to the travelling direction of the paper 4 expands up to the position of the pin 17. Thus the paper 4 is tight-stretched to be carried into the press-contact roller.
