Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The level of the analog input signal is detected by a level detector 11 and the detected level is averaged by an averaging circuit 12. According to the output of the circuit 12, the amplification factor of an amplifier 13 is determined and the shift quantity of a shifter 15 is determined. After the determination of the amplification factor and the shift quantity, a sampling is successively executed to the input signal and the signal is amplified according to the amplification factor by the amplifier 13. The amplified signal is obtained as an input and converted to the natural binary code of eight bits by an A/D converter 14. Then, since the obtained binary code is right logic-shifted by the shifter 15 only for the shift quantity determined in the circuit 12, the natural binary code, which is serial, of 16 bits is outputted.
