Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of gasification and quicken gasification speed by a method wherein both fuel and combustion air are supplied into a gasification cylinder in an eccentric form with respect to a downstream direc tion of swirl air flow into the gasification cylinder. CONSTITUTION:An inner cylinder 15 is vertically arranged within a gasification cylinder 14, a first air port 22 is opened in a side wall of the gasification cylin der 14 and then combustion air is supplied into the gasification cylinder 14 in a swirling direction. A fuel nozzle 24 and a second air port 23 are similarly opened on the side wall of the gasification cylinder 14 and then fuel and combus tion air are supplied in an eccentric form with respect to the radial direction of the inner cylinder 15 in a downstream direction. Almost all the fuel particles divided at the inner cylinder 15 are dispersed in a downstream direction of the swirling air flow and then gasified while being swirled within the gasifica tion cylinder together with the swirling air.
