Abstract

PURPOSE:To accomplish safe anti-lock control by changing the processing level in such a manner that operation and lock-state detecting means conduct the processing at the road surface level having a high coefficient of friction when the back of a vehicle is detected by detecting means. CONSTITUTION:During forward movement, a back switch 17 is turned off, and according to a signal of a decelerating switch 15 which is turned on in case of less than a fixed decelerating speed, processing level changing means 19 is adapted to increase a threshold of operation and lock-state detecting means 12 in such a manner as to conduct the processing at the road surface level having a high coefficient of friction in case of less than a fixed decelerating speed and decrease the threshold in such a manner as to conduct the processing at the road surface level having a low coefficient of friction in case of more than the fixed decelerating speed. On the other hand, when the back switch 17 is turned on by the back of a vehicle, the processing level is changed to conduct the processing at the road surface level having a high coefficient of friction, and the decelerating speed and the estimated car body velocity are computed by means 12 from the speed of the vehicle detected by means 11 to be compared with the threshold. When a tendency to lock is detected, a pressure decreasing command is output to a pressure control valve 21 through a solenoid driving circuit 13. Thus, safer anti-lock control can be conducted.
