Abstract
PURPOSE:To properly and smoothly separate materials whose joining planes are welded to each other, by supporting heated conductive metallic materials by means of a supporting device consisting of a fixed plate and a movable plate usually forming a V-shaped cross section together and then turning the movable plate so as to apply a torsional force to the material. CONSTITUTION:Billets B1, B2,... continuously heated in an induction heating furnace U are supported at the outlet by means of a supporting device 1 consisting of a fixed plate 1a and a movable plate 1b usually forming a practically V-shaped cross section together. For example, when a billet B1 is supported by means of the supporting device 1, the movable plate 1b is turned clockwise or counterclockwise by using the lower end part forming a counterpart to the lower end part of the fixed plate 1a as a fulcrum. At this time, the turning of the movable plate 1b fluctuates from (c) to (f), by which torsional force moving back and forth twice is applied counterclockwise to the material B1 as shown by the arrows from y1 y3. By this method, even if the boundaries between the material B1 and the succeeding material and smoothly separated from the material B2 and is caught by means of a pedestal via a guide plate 3.
