Abstract

PURPOSE: To bond both metal members stably by induction-heating the dissimilar metal members to be bonded separately in a mutually isolated state in a vacuum to the bonding temperature and further pressing and heating the same.
CONSTITUTION: The dissimilar metals 1, 2 to be bonded are held by holders 11, 12 which also serve as anvils. In the state that the faying parts of both metals 1, 2 are held isolated in a vacuum, they are induction-heated by high-frequency induction- coils 13, 14. When both metals 1, 2 are heated to the bonding temperature, the faying parts are butted and are held for a fixed time while they are being pressed from the axial direction. The faying parts of both metals 1, 2 mutually diffuse and bond firmly in a stable state.
