Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a Cu-based alloy having excellent hardness, strength and heat fatigue resistance at a high temp. by incorporating specific amounts of Ni,Ti and Cr to Cu or furthermore incorporating one or more specific elements thereto. CONSTITUTION:The Cu-based alloy consists of, by weight, 1.3-5% Ni, 0.2-2.0% Ti, 0.1-1.5% Cr and the balance Cu; or furthermore, 0.01-0.5% Zr, or one or two kinds between 0.01-0.5% Fe and Co, or one or more kinds among 0.05-1.2% Sn, 0.05-1.2% Mn, 0.05-1.2% Zn, 0.001-0.2% Mg and 0.001-0.2% P or 0.001-0.2% rare earth elements such as Ce, La, Nd, Pr and Sm are independently or compositely incorporated in the combination of 2-4 kinds thereto. The Cu-based alloy suitable as the material of a mold for continuous casting, particularly of a water-cooled rotary roll mold for the production of a metallic thin plate by the rapid solidification of molten metal can be obtd.
