Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the service life of a condensing lens by using the condensing lens forming a through hole at the center and feeding a work gas into a holder from the condensing lens front side as well. CONSTITUTION:The condensing lens 13 forming a through hole 13a smaller than the diameter of a laser light is held inside a holder 1. A work gas feeding part 14 is arranged at the incident side of the laser light 7 at the front of the lens 13 to feed the gas of higher gas pressure from the gas feeding part 4 behind the lens 13. Accordingly the flow of the gas of a laser light outgoing side to the laser light incident side by passing a lens through hole 13a is prevented. Due to the gas being flowed one-sidedly to the laser light outgoing side via the lens through hole 13a the rupture and contamination of the condensing lens 13 are prevented. Consequently the service life of the condensing lens 13 is extended.
