Abstract

PURPOSE:To double the data transmitting/receiving speed by giving the significance for each change of a handshake signal, i.e., a binary signal in an information transmission/reception system which works via the general-purpose parallel interfaces. CONSTITUTION:When the information are sent to a sub-system (b) from a main system (a) via the general-purpose parallel interfaces C, the receiving system (b) sets the RFD (ready for data) at 1 to show a ready state for reception of information. Thus the system (a) sends the first information to the system (b) and sets the DAV (data valid) at 1. The system (b) confirms the DAV and receives the information to set the DAC (data accepted) and the RFD at 1 and 0 respectively. The system (a) confirms that the DAC and the RFD are set at 1 and 0 respectively and sends the second information to the system (b) to set the DAV at 0. The system (b) confirms the DAV and receives the information to set the DAC at 0. In such a way, the significance is given even when a signal is changed to 0 from 1 for handshake. Thus the transmission/ reception is possible twice with a single handshake. As a result, the signal checking frequency is halved and the data transfer speed is double respectively.
