CONSTITUTION:Under an ordinary operating condition, a valve mechanism 24 opens an air supply passage 4c upstream from a compressor 10. Under a decelerating condition, when an intake throttle valve 18 is suddenly closed, the rotation of the compressor 10 is kept high immediately after the decelerating operation is started. Accordingly, pressure in an air supply passage 4a between the compressor 10 and the closed intake throttle valve 18 is suddenly increased, so that large change in pressure is caused to generate surge sound. At this time, the valve mechanism 24 closes the air supply passage 4c, so that pressure buildup in the air supply passage 4a is lowered than the conventional pressure buildup to prevent the generation of surge sound.
