Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a plastic container markedly lowered in commodity value reusable, by removing the surface layer of the plastic container by grinding and applying color resin paint of a specific system to the ground surface layer to dry or cure the same. CONSTITUTION:The surface deteriorated layer of a container made of a polyolefin resin is removed by grinding. Next, chlorinated polyolefin resin paint or chlorinated polyolefin modified acrylic resin paint colored with pigment or dye is applied to the ground surface layer of the container, and subsequently dried or cured. When the surface deteriorated layer is removed, it is desirable to remove the deteriorated layer in a range capable of holding the mechanical strength of the container. The thickness of the layer to be removed is limited to a range of 0.5mm or less, pref., 0.3mm. The film thickness due to the paint is pref. 1-20mum. The paint is dried or cured by allowing said paint to stand at ambient temp. or spraying hot air thereto in a degree not deforming plastic.
