Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the definition of the grain patterns of an autumnal grain provided the uneven feeling by a method wherein the surface of a base board on which a needle-leaved tree veneer is pasted is ground and a vernal grain patterns are formed in concave portions, and a colorant having a color more dark than the autumnal grain patterns is applied on the whole surface of the base board.
CONSTITUTION: The needle-leaved tree veneer 1 is pasted on the surface of the base board 5, the surface is ground, the vernal grain patterns 2 are formed in concave portions 6, and the colorant 8 having a color more dark than a color of autumnal grain patterns 3 is applied on the whole surface of the base board. The colorant of the convex portions 9 of the autumnal grain patterns is removed, the whole surface is coated with a transparent thermohardening synthetic resin 11 to fill the concave portions 6 of the vernal grain paterns, and the resin is dried or thermally pressed and formed, thus obtaining the decorative panel board by the needle-leaved tree having uneven feeling. After the vernal grain patterns 2 are formed in the concave portions 6, the whole surface of the base board can also be coated with the colored transparent thermohardening resin 11 directly without applying the colorant. Lacquer, acryl resin, polyester, etc. can be used as the transparent thermohardening resin.
