Abstract
PURPOSE: To develop a feeling of japan by using toner-containing nonwax-type unsaturated polyester resin coating materials and transparent wax-type unsaturated polyester resin based coating materials.
CONSTITUTION: After a pigmented water-based coating material is applied as an undercoat to a wood substrate 6 and is dried, a pigmented polyurethane resin based coating material 1 is coated thereon and is dried. Next, a toner-pigmented nonwax- type unsaturated polyester resin based coating material 2 is coated and is dried, followed by coating a transparent non-wax type unsaturated polyester resin based coating material. Then, a toner-pigmented nonwax-type unsaturated polyester resin is layered thereon, and before the coating material is gelled, bodies 3 for providing a japan pattern in the cross section of the layer are placed at desired positions and are fixed by drying the coating material. Further, a wax-type unsaturated polyester resin based coating material 4 is coated and the coated surface is smoothened. After drying, the coated surface is ground to expose the japan pattern bodies 3, a non- wax-type unsaturated polyester resin 5 is coated thereon and is dried.
