Abstract
PURPOSE:To raise the judging accuracy in condition sensing and enhance the processing accuracy by classifying the processing condition into a plurality of categories according to the value of discharge processing voltage, counting the number of discharge pulses in each category, and performing condition sensing of discharge processing on the basis of the obtained value of counting. CONSTITUTION:Discharge processing voltage VD between a wire 3 and a work to be processes 4 is sensed by a voltage sensing part 5 and A/D converted, and the result is compared at a discharge pulse classifying part 8 with three set values in accordance with the processing condition, and the classified numbers of discharge pulses are counted by respective counters 13a-13c. On the basis of each calculated value ND1-ND3 a processing condition judging part 12 judges the condition with the three categories - i.e. processing condition normal with the speed practicable to raise; processing condition normal; and processing condition abnormal. According to the judgement the body 1 controls the discharge processing condition. Thus the accuracy in judging the processing condition is enhanced to enable accomplishment of optimum control, that should ensure enhancement of the discharge processing accuracy and the yield without impairing the effectiveness in processing.
