Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid abnormal processing and accomplish stable and effective processings by determining the rate of change in the ratio of electric discharge number-of-pulses generated in No.1 and No.2 divisions of time among electric discharge in the specified number of pulses or specified time, and thereupon judging any abnormal processing. CONSTITUTION:A Td measuring apparatus 12 measures the no-load time Td of each discharge waveform, and a discharge waveform classifier 13 classifies the discharge pulses into immediate discharge D1, normal discharge D2, and open D3, which are counted by counters 14-16, and according to the determined frequency a controller 18 makes servo feeding of electrode. On the other hand, No.1 calculator 20 calculates D1/D2 while No.2 calculator 22 the rate of change of D1/D2 with the aid of memory 21, and on the basis of the calculations a processing condition judging device 27 judges whether it is normal or abnormal upon the rate of change exceeding the specified level, and if abnormal, a controller 28 makes automatic changeover of electrode feed control condition (servo reference voltage). This avoids abnormal processing certainly to accomplish stable and effective processings.
