Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable use of the titled parts in the same way as the metallic cable communication, by connecting directly a light emitting element provided with an electronic circuit and a light receiving element provided with an electronic circuit, to a demultiplexing waveguide. CONSTITUTION:The number of parts is decreased by using an optical demultiplexer of an optical waveguide type, and also, driving electronic circuits of a light emitting element 4 and a light receiving element 5 are converted to ICs and added to the optical input/output parts. That is, the optical input/ output parts can be constituted of four parts of the light emitting and receiving elements 4, 5 having the driving circuit, an optical fiber 6 and an optical waveguide 1, and also, the driving circuits of the light emitting and receiving element 4, 5 are contained. In such a way, the optical input/output parts can be handled in the same use convenience manner as the electronic circuit.
