Abstract

PURPOSE:To realize an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity and remarkably reduced in deterioration of electric chargeability due to preexposure fatigue in the photosensitive body provided with at least a layer containing a dispersed charge generating material on a conductive substrate by incorporating an aliphatic alcohol in said layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is provided with at least the layer containing the dispersed charge generating material having chemically adsorbed the aliphatic alcohol, thus permitting the charge generating material to act as the recombination center of charge generated by light absorption, charge generated by the preexposure fatigue to be rapidly recombined and extinguished, accordingly, deterioration of chargeable potential to be restrained, consequently, sensitivity to be high and deterioration of chargeable potential due to the preexposure fatigue to be remarkably reduced, and the chargeable potential not to be deteriorated even at the time of repeated cycles of charging and exposure.
