Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a superconductive material in the form of a thin film of a large area, a thick film of an arbitrary thickness or the like by calcining powdery starting materials for an oxide superconductive material having a specified compsn. and by sintering the resulting powdery calcined body with a laser beam in gas under high pressure. CONSTITUTION:Powders of nitrides, oxides, hydroxides, carbonates, sulfates, oxalates or nitrates of at least one kind of element selected among the group IIa elements of the periodic table, at least one kind of element selected among the group IIIa elements and at least one kind of element selected among the groups Ib, IIb, IIIb, IVa and VIIIa elements are mixed, calcined and ground to obtain a powdery calcined body. This calcined body is sintered with a laser beam in gas under high pressure. The sintering is carried out on a substrate, especially an SrTiO3 or MgO single crystal substrate and the {100} face is preferably used as the film forming surface.
