Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust a sorting cylinder to an adequate angle of inclination by providing the sorting beginning end side and sorting end side of a sorting drum with receiving quantity sensors and providing the same with in-cylinder quantity sensors. CONSTITUTION: The unpolished rice receiving quantity values (a), (b) and in-drum quantity value C which are the detected values from the respective sensors 38, 39, 40 during sorting work are inputted to a control circuit 51. When the unpolished rice receiving quantities on receiving plates 27a on the inlet side and outlet side are detected to be in a regulated adequate quantity state from the unpolished rice receiving quantity values (a), (b) of the respective sensors 38, 39, the control of a motor 45 is not executed regardless of the various values of the in-drum quantity and the sorting drum 22 maintains the present angle αof inclination. When the unpolished rice receiving quantity on the inlet side receiving plate 27a is adequate and the unpolished rice receiving quantity on the outlet side receiving plate 27a is in the increased state, the motor 45 is driven forward or backward and the angle α of inclination of the sorting drum 22 is adjusted to the angle gentler than the present angle, by which a flowing down velocity is lowered.
