Abstract

PURPOSE: To control a pump at constant discharge pressure by providing a pressure detector and to adjust a pressure detector signal by providing a flow rate detector at the discharge side for prevention of excessive load to a variable speed drive means when the discharge flow rate exceed predetermined level.
CONSTITUTION: A variable speed electric motor 2 is driven to deliver constant discharge pressure when the pressure and the flow rate in a discharge pipe 4 corresponding to the discharge side load are within predetermined level wherein a saturation amplifier 10 compares the detected signal of a pressure detector 5 with the signal of a pressure setter 6 and sends a speed increase instruction to the variable speed electric motor 2 when the detected pressure is lower than the set pressure and sends a speed decrease instruction when the detected pressure is higher than the set pressure. An output signal of the saturation amplifier 10 which is adjusted by a signal of a flow rate detector 9 but is predominant to the flow rate detection signal is applied to an amplifier 11. The saturation amplifier 10 saturates and the flow detection signal increases when the load of the pump 1 increases.
