Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to automatically control the blower, regardless of whether it is used for forced draft or for induced draft, by a method wherein the speed of a drive motor is controlled by comparing the output value of a differential pressure sensor, which detects the difference between the suction side pressure and the discharge side pressure of the blower, with the set pressure value.
CONSTITUTION: Pressure detecting holes 9 and 10 at the suction side and the discharge side of the blower are open to a suction port 5 and a discharge port 6 and connected through piping 11 to the differential pressure sensor 12, which detects the difference between the suction pressure and the discharge pressure. The output value of the differential pressure sensor 12 is converted to electric signal and inputted in a calculating circuit in order to be compared with the set value given to a pressure setter 14. Output control signal corresponding to the amount of the deviation controls a thyristor inverter 8, which controls the rotational frequency of the driven motor so as to make the air pressure of the blower equal to the set pressure. even if the change in air quantity occurs at the suction or discharge side, the rotational frequency of the blower is automatically controlled.
