Abstract
PURPOSE:To inexpensively manufacture in a large quantity anisotropic bonding magnets by molding 2-17 rare earth element magnetic powder in a magnetic field of a permanent magnet at the time of low coercive force state before age-hardening, then age-hardening it to present a high coercive force state, and impregnating or dipping it with resin to integrate it. CONSTITUTION:2-17 Rare earth magnetic powder to be a material contains as a main ingredient a composition represented by R2TM17 (where R is one or more types of rare earth elements, such as Sm, Ce, Pr, Nd, etc. including Y, and TM is a transition metal element mainly such as Co, Fe, Ni). The above sintered material is first pulverized, molded in a magnetic field of permanent magnets 10, 12 at the time of low coercive force state before age-hardening, age-hardened whole holding the molded state to present a high coercive force, and integrated with resin. The resin used preferably includes thermosetting synthetic resin, such as epoxy resin, phenol resin or acrylic resin to be impregnated or dipped after the age-hardening.
