Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily make a mold for small quantity production and at the same time to produce a molded item with high dimensional accuracy in a short shot cycle time by a constitution wherein at least one of constitutional members, which constitute a molding cavity under the state that a mold for molding is closed, is made of graphite. CONSTITUTION:A cavity forming member 13, to which the shape of a cavity surface is engraved, is nestingly and fixedly installed in the form of a liner, the periphery of which is supported by a base plate 11 and a structural member 12 on a fixed mold side. All the surfaces of the cavity forming member 13, which is made of isotropic graphite, except the surface opposing to the direction towards a moving mold, of the fixed mold, closely contact the base plate 11 and the structural member 13 and are assemblingly fixed to them so as to prevent the deformation and tensile stress by pressure, which is applied during molding and the like from developing. The periphery of the second cavity forming member 23, which is made of isotropic graphite and on the surface of which plated layer 27 is formed, of the moving mold 20 is closely fixed to a base plate 21 and a structural member 22. Injection molding can be done by pushing up the moving mold 20 and pouring molding material.
