Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of a field lead by providing a refrigerant gas supply pipe or refrigerant gas return pipe with a flow limiting member. CONSTITUTION:A rotor for a superconducting electrical rotating machine is composed of an ordinary-temperature damper 1, a radiation shield 2, a torque tube 3, a heat exchanger 4, a refrigerant container 5, a superconducting field coil 6, a coil mounting shaft 7, a side radiation shield 8, a field lead pipe 13, a field lead 14 and others. In this case, a refrigerant gas supply pipe 11 is provided with a flow limiting member 17 composed of, for example, an orifice. In said rotor, thus, the quantity of evaporation gas flowing through the refrigerant gas supply pipe 11 is limited and reduced by said orifice 17 and the cooling effect of the torque tube 3 by the heat exchanger 4 is lowered so as to increase the quantity of entering heat reaching the coil mounting shaft 7 by heat conduction via the tonque tube 3. In this manner, the evaporation amount of a refrigerant gas is increased and the field lead 14 is prevented from overheating.
