Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent overheating of a field lead by providing a radiation shield or side radiation shield with a notch part. CONSTITUTION:A rotor for a superconducting electrical rotating machine is composed of an ordinary-temperature damper 1, a radiation shield 2, a torque tube 3, a heat exchanger 4, a refrigerant container 5, a superconducting field winding 6, a refrigerant supply pipe 8, a refrigerant gas return pipe 10, a field lead pipe 11, a field lead 12, a side radiation shield 16 and others. In this case, said radiation shield 2 is provided with a notch part 17 composed of, for example, circular holes. In said rotor, a part of radiation heat from the ordinary- temperature damper 1 reaches a refrigerant container 5 and a coil mounting shaft 15 through the notch part 17 provided on the radiation shield 2. Further, the size of the notch part 17 of said shield 2 is determined so that there enters a quantity of heat evaporating enough refrigerant to obtain a refrigerant gas necessary for cooling the field lead 12. Thus, the field lead 12 can be cooled surely.
