Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain uniform and good superconductive characteristics by forming oxidized coating on base material consisting of copper alloy including either one of two elements, and forming coating including the compound of the other element on its surface. CONSTITUTION:Oxidation process is applied to a base material 1 moulded in the form of a tape of material of copper alloy including elements of group IIIa in the periodic table such as Y, La, so an oxidized coating 2 is formed on its surface. Next a coating layer 3 including compound including alkali soil metal elements such as Ba, Sr is formed on the surface of the film 2. Then, heat process is applied to the base material 1 having the film 2 and the layer 3 formed on it. Elements included in the film 2 and the layer 3 diffuse to each other by this heat process, and a superconductive layer 4 including superconductive matter of Y-Ba-Cu-O, for example, is produced continuously for the whole length of the base material 1 at the parts of the film 2 and the layer 3.
