Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent embrittlement of stabilizing material and make adhesion property good in combining stabilizing metal on ceramic superconductive matter to form a ceramic superconductive wire by coating substance which is liable-to- be-oxidized on the superconductive matter and applying the stabilizing material on it. CONSTITUTION:In combining stabilizing material consisting of Cu, Al, Ag, or their alloy on ceramic superconductive matter of a single continuous filament or its assembly or the like, one liable-to-be-oxidized substance of Be, Ce, Ti, Al, Zr, Ba, Si, V, B, Cr, Nb, or Mn is coated preliminarily. After that, the stabilizing material is applied on it. Embrittlement of the stabilizing material can thus be prevented, adhesion property with the superconductive matter becomes good, coiling property is improved, and critical current density is increased.
