Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable simple and inexpensive seed mass production of the first filial generation (F1), by spraying the emasculated female parent of an autogamy plant which has been cultivated in a covered chamber with the pollen of the father parent. CONSTITUTION:An autogamy mother plant such as wheat, rice or corn is cultivated in a covered cultivation chamber such as a vinyl house or green house. Then, at the pollen-forming and flowering times, the ventilation is stopped by tightly closing windows and doors, when needed, by using heaters to keep the temperature inside in the range from the viable limit temperature to the plant dying one for an appropriate time, e.g., at 43-45 deg.C for 3-5min for emasculation. The pollen of the father plant is introduced into the chamber to effect crossing or mating.
