Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-accuracy, inexpensive method by carrying out fine adjustment machining by using the specific relation between upstream and downstream pressure of a valve in test facilities and its absolute temperature. CONSTITUTION:The characteristics of the control valve to be manufactured are so set that a capacity coefficient (Cv value) indicating the easiness of a gas in a noncritical state to flow is prescribed under the necessary pressure and flow rate condition of the scheduled facilities. This valve is manufactured by adjusting finely and machining the needle 10 of a valve which is machined roughly in advance by using different conditions by test facilities. At this time, the gap part between the needle 10 and a port 11 serves as a throttle mechanism provided with a fluid flow passage for adjusting a flow rate by varying the extent of contraction of area. Then the fine adjustment machining is carried out by using the constant relation, i.e. (P1+P2)<2>/{T1/2(P1<2>-P2<2>)<1-/2>= constant, where P1 and P2 are the upstream pressure and downstream pressure and T is the absolute temperature of the fluid.
