Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. which has a relatively low viscosity and is excellent in weather resistance, adhesion to a substrate and elongation, by blending a specified unsatd. fluoropolymer with an actinic radiation curable initiator. CONSTITUTION:A hydroxylated fluoropolymer (a) consisting of 30-70mol.% fluoroolefin and 70-30mol.% copolymerizable monomer having a functional group (e.g., hydroxyalkyl vinyl ether) and an alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid (derivative) (b) of the formula (where R is H or alkyl) are mixed so that the ratio of the number of molecules of component (b) to the number of hydroxyl groups is 0.01-1.0, and the mixture is reacted in the presence of a base at 20-30 deg.C for 10-40min to give an unsatd. fluoropolymer A having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.01-2.0dl/g. 100pts.wt. A is blended with 0.1-10pts.wt. actinic radiation curing initiator B (e.g., benzoin).
