Abstract

PURPOSE:To aim at the shortening of machining time by performing copy cutting within a copying flat surface in the first axial direction at a speed command, while performing pick feed by positioning control in an orthogonal direction with the copying direction with a second axis, in case of copying cutting. CONSTITUTION:A profile controller 1 controls a column 11 to be moved in a Z-axis direction and a table 5 to both X and Y directions respectively by servoamplifiers 3X-3Z and servomotors 4X-4Z, profiling a model 6 with a stylus 9, and a work 7 is machined by a cutter 10. In this case, a copying passage 20 by this stylus 9 consists of profile control (a) in the X-axis direction and pick feed control (b) in the Y-axis direction, and the pick feed control (b) is determined by positioning control, namely, in the Y-axis direction, a pick feed quantity is set in advance, thereby moving it as far as the quantity by the positioning control.
